3. Which test strip does the meter use?

Each meter is designed to admit specifically-designed test strips of its own. Hence, please note test strips for 1) other models and 2) other brands will not work.

4. What is preservation duration of the test strips?

Expiry dates are printed on the strip box.

Depending on the type of test strips you have on hand, they may be preserved from 24 to 18 months. To ensure the accuracy of test results, please note test strips should be used within 3 months from first opening. 

 

5. Why has my test strip become damp even though it is still yet to expire?

Common reasons that may cause test strips to become damp:
1.If you use wet hands to take out test strips
2.If you do not close test vial instantly after you take out.
3 If you do not storage the test in specification way.

6. How should I store the test strips?

1. Please store the test strips at room temperature between 4-30℃(39-86℉). Do not put them in the fridge.
2. Please use the test strips at temperatures between 10℃(50℉) and 40℃(104℉),and less than 85% humidity.
3. Please keep the test strips in their original vials only; do not transfer them into another vial or container.
4. Always remember to close the cap of vials immediately after use.
5. Avoid exposure of test strips to air for a long time.

7. What should I need to pay attention to when using a lancet?

1. To avoid infection, lancets can only be used once; do not reuse it.

2. The needles on the lancets are sterilized; do not wipe the needles with alcohol pads before use.

3. When using lancets, please keep the protective cover on. After testing, put the protective cover back to the lancet.

8. What should I pay attention to when obtaining blood?

Use an alcohol pad to sterilize your finger first and make sure your finger is dry before pricking your fingertip. 

9. How to make sure test results is accurate?

1. According to EN ISO15197, the accuracy of the blood glucose meter is determined by comparing with standard biochemical analyzer and not other blood glucose meters. 
2. According to EN ISO15197:2015 standard, the variation between the indices of blood glucose meters and the data of the reference standard biochemical analyzer is subject to the below restrictions:

  • a. When blood glucose level is less than (<) 100mg/dL, the error range of the results between  the blood glucose meter and the standard biochemical analyzer must be within ±15mg/dL.
  • b. When blood glucose level is greater than or equal to (≧) 100mg/dL, the error range of the results between the blood glucose meter and the biochemical analyzer must be within ±15%.

1. Why does the meter display "HI" or "LO" on screen?

The meter test range is 20~600mg/dL (1.1~33.3mmol/L). Results that are out of this range will result in error message as below:
For test results greater than 600mg/dL (33.3mmol/L), the meter will display 「HI」.
For test results lower than 20mg/dL(1.1mmol/L), the meter will display 「LO」.

When the meter displays “HI”or “LO”, please retake the test. If the result pertains, please contact your doctor immediately.

2. What should I do if the meter displays battery and "LO" symbol?

When the meter displays the error message below, it is out of power. Please replace with a new battery. 
1. The symbol of battery is flashing.
2. The symbol of battery and LO are flashing.

3. What should I do if the meter displays "E01"?

If "E01" mark is display, it indicates that the meter is malfunction. Please remove the test strip and put the meter back to the package, and reach out to our local distributor.

4. Why does the the meter display "thermometer" and "E-T"symbol?

(For eBchek, eBwell, eBfresh, eBcare)

This happens when the surrounding temperature goes above 42℃(107.6℉) or below 4℃(39.2℉). When this happens the error screen below will appear and the meter will shut off automatically. Please move the meter to an ambient place 10℃-40℃(50℉~104℉) for 20 minutes and retake the blood glucose test.

4-1. Why does the meter display "thermometer”& "LO" or "HI" symbol?

(For eBsensor, eBcarryon, eBfine)

This happens when the surrounding temperature goes above 42(107.6or below 4(39.2). The meter displays "HI" for the former and "LO" for the latter. When this happens, the error screen below will appear and the meter will shut off automatically.

Please move the meter to an ambient place 10℃~40℃(50~104℉) for 20 minutes and retake the test. If the issue persists, please reach out to our local distributor.

5. What does "E-U"mean when shown on screen?

When the "E-U" error message is shown on the screen, there are two possibilities: either 1) the operating steps are done incorrectly or 2) the test strip has previously been used. Kindly note each test strip can only be used once, and only once. Please replace with a new test strip and retake the test. If the issue persists, please reach out to our local distributor.

Ketone

1. Why does the meter display "HI" on screen?

When the "HI" error message is displayed, there are two possibilities: either 1) the testing result is  greater than 8.0mmol/L and therefore out of the meter's range or 2) the test strip is malfunctioning. For the latter scenario, please replace with a new test strip and test again. If the issue persists, please reach out to our local distributor.

2. What should I do if “E01” shows on screen?

When the "E01" error message is displayed, the meter is malfunctioning. Please remove the test strip, put the meter back to the package and reach out directly to our local distributor. If the issue persists, please reach out to our local distributor.

3. What should I do if "E03" shows on screen?

When the "E03" error message is displayed, you have inserted the wrong test strips (most likely test strips from another brand). Please replace the test strips with ours and retake the test. If the issue persists, please reach out to our local distributor.

When a blood drop mark and the "HI" error message are displayed at the same time, there are two possibilities: either 1) the testing result is greater than 20 mg/dL (1190 μmol/L) and therefore out of the meter's range or 2) the test strip is malfunctioning. For the latter scenario, please replace it with a new test strip and retake the test again. If the issue persists, please reach out to our local distributor.
